Pregnancy confusion with Covered California enrollments
When a woman completes an Application for Coverage with Covered California and checks the box to indicate she is pregnant, she should be given the option to stay on a Covered California plan. Instead, the system is moving some women in low-income ranges to Medi-Cal.
Centene approved to acquire Health Net
California Department of Managed Health Care (DMHC) Director Shelley Rouillard approved Centene’s acquisition of Health Net.
Health Net Covered California missing enrollments
Health Net is continuing to reach out to our Individual & Family Plan (IFP) members who do not appear in Covered California’s files. This effort began in December when we first learned of the data mismatch from Covered California.
Health Net California PPO plans to require proof of residency
Effective immediately, Health Net has implemented required proof of California permanent residency for IFP PPO policies. Applications for IFP PPO policies will now require the attached Proof of Permanent Residency form to be completed prior to proceeding with the enrollment process.
Prior Authorization List changes for Health Net 2016 plans
Effective January 1, 2016, we have revised our Prior Authorization List requirements for commercial products (Direct Network HMO (including CommunityCare), EPO, HSP, POS, PPO, and Flex Net). Health Net has partnered with the online mental health website myStrength to offer support and inspiration for members who may be experiences mental health challenges in their lives. From the flyer introducing the partnership, myStrength is meant to address certain conditions such as anxiety, depression and struggles with substance abuse.
