Covered California hosted a webinar where they went over the numerous changes to the health plans for 2017. This included the expansion of some health plans into more counties, the conversion of PPO plans to EPO for one carrier, and the addition of a HMO plan for another carrier. They also reviewed the minor and major cost sharing changes to their metal tier level plans offered by all the carriers.
Health Net closing some California PPO plans for 2016
Health Net of California, Inc. and Health Net Life Insurance Company (Health Net) will offer a simplified line-up of IFP products for 2016. There are differences in the plans we offer through Covered California and those available direct from Health Net. As such, the changes and what members have to do, if anything, depend on how they enrolled.
