Covered California releases demographic and enrollment data
Covered California also released data on the ethnicity of its enrollment population, which illustrates the positive enrollment trends seen over the last 18 months. While Covered California is increasingly improving its enrollment to better reflect the diversity of subsidy-eligible Californians, this improvement will take time to be fully reflected in active membership, which accounts for all the consumers enrolled since January 2014.
Covered California sending out September 30, 2015 termination notices
Pre-Termination Notice – This notice is a follow up request to resubmit eligibility documentation to Covered California. Members that receive this notice must submit Lawful Presence/Citizenship and/or Social Security documents to continue with health coverage or financial assistance through Covered California. Consumers that receive this notice must provide Covered California with appropriate documentation by September 30, 2015 or risk coverage termination.
Covered California clarifies Medicare questions for individuals
If you are enrolled in Medicare, you do not need to do anything with Covered California. If you have Medicare you are covered. No matter how you receive your Medicare benefits, whether through Original Medicare or a Medicare Advantage Plan, you will have the same benefits and security you have now. You will receive new benefits, such as more preventive services and increased savings on brand-name drugs.

Covered California announces Navigator grant funding recipients
Enrolling in person is important to many consumers, and Certified Enrollment Counselors in the Navigator Program play a critical role by providing one-on-one assistance to consumers who need it. During the last open-enrollment period, approximately 70 percent of eligible consumers enrolled or renewed with assistance from Certified Insurance Agents or Certified Enrollment Counselors, including Navigators, or received help by phone from Service Center representatives.
